Απεβίωσε ο Φρανκ Μιλ στα 67 του χρόνια

Στο πένθος βυθίστηκε το γερμανικό ποδόσφαιρο. Ο Φρανκ Μιλ, άλλοτε επιθετικός των Έσεν, Γκλάντμπαχ, Ντόρτμουντ και Φορτούνα Ντίσελντορφ έφυγε από τη ζωή σε ηλικία 67 ετών. Ο Μιλ αντιμετώπιζε καρδιακά προβλήματα τις τελευταίες ημέρες και υπέκυψε, βυθίζοντας στη θλίψη τον χώρο του ποδοσφαίρου. Στην καριέρα του πέτυχε περισσότερα από 120 γκολ στην Bundesliga, όντας 31ος σκόρερ στην ιστορία του γερμανικού πρωταθλήματος, ενώ αποτέλεσε μέλος της Δυτικής Γερμανίας που κατέκτησε το Παγκόσμιο Κύπελλο του 1990. Κατέκτησε ένα Κύπελλο Γερμανίας με την Ντόρτμουντ το 1989 σε συλλογικό επίπεδο, όντας μάλιστα εκ των αρχηγών των Βεστφαλών.
