Άλμα τίτλου για την Λίβερπουλ στις καθυστερήσεις κόντρα στην Νότιγχαμ

Από το 1984 είχε να νικήσει η Λίβερπουλ σε εκτός έδρας αγώνα πρωταθλήματος ενάντια στη Νότιγχαμ Φόρεστ και για... 99 λεπτά αγώνα φαινόταν πως το αρνητικό σερί θα επεκτεινόταν.

Ωστόσο, μια κεφαλιά του Νούνιες στο 9ο λεπτό των καθυστερήσεων λύτρωσε τους ”reds”, που επικράτησαν 1-0 και ξέφυγαν στο+4 από τη Μάντσεστερ Σίτι, με ένα ματς περισσότερο!

Η ομάδα του Γιούργκεν Κλοπ βραχυκύκλωσε σττο Σίτι Γκράουντ και σε ορισμένες περιπτώσεις κινδύνεψε και να βρεθεί πίσω στο σκορ, με την παρέα του Κώστα Τσιμίκα (μπήκε στο 84’) να εντείνει την πίεσή της στα τελευταία λεπτά.

Όλα έδειχναν μάταια, μέχρι ο Μακ Άλιστερ να μαζέψει την μπάλα μετά από απομάκρυσνη σε σουτ του Έλληνα μπακ και να σεντράρει, για να βρει τον Νούνιες. Ο Ουρουγουανός την άγγιξε όσο χρειαζόταν για να της δώσει τροχιά προς τα δίχτυα και να δώσει νίκη τίτλου στους φιλοξενούμενους, που έσπασαν κατάρα 40 ετών!
