Thessaloniki Grand Slam: Μαναβή, Καλαμαρίδου κατέκτησαν τον τίτλο

Μετά τη 2η θέση στο Athens Golden Cup, οι Δήμητρα Μαναβή, Μυρτώ Καλαμαρίδου πανηγύρισαν το πρώτο τους χρυσό μετάλλιο στο φετινό πανελήνιο σιρκουΐ μπιτς βόλεϊ στο Thessaloniki Grand Slam στην πλατεία Αριστοτέλους με τις κερκίδες να είναι κατάμεστες από κόσμο.

Η εθνική ομάδα της άμμου αγωνιζόμενη έντος έδρας επιβεβαίωσε τον τίτλο του φαβορί κόντρα σ' ένα ζευγάρι που έκανε τρομερή προσπάθεια στο τουρνουά της Θεσσαλονίκης ξεκινώντας από τα προκριματικά και φτάνοντας ως τον τελικό.

Αρκετά νευρικό το ξεκίνημα και των δύο ομάδων με το γρήγορο 3-0 των Μαναβή, Καλαμαρίδου να γίνεται εξίσου γρήγορα 3-2 και τις Παρισάκη, Ματιάδη να παίρνουν για πρώτη φορά το προβάδισμα στο 8-9 και να φτάνουν στο +2 (11-13) με δύο άουτ επιθέσεις.

Η αντίδραση όμως ήρθε γρήγορα με τις Μαναβή, Καλαμαρίδου να μετατρέπουν το 12-14 σε 15-14 και στο 16-16 έτρεξαν σερί 4-0 για να πάρουν το πρώτο σετ με 21-17.

Το δεύτερο ξεκίνησε όπως και το πρώτο με ένα γρήγορο 4-0, αλλά και πάλι η διαφορά εξανεμίστηκε καθώς το 7-3 έγινε 7-7 με άσο της Ματιάδη. Η... αντεπίθεση όμως δεν είχε συνέχεια με τις Μαναβή, Καλαμαρίδου να ξεφεύγουν ξανά με 10-7, να ανεβάζουν τη διαφορά στο 14-9 και εκεί ουσιαστικά κρίθηκαν όλα με το δεύτερο σετ να κλείνει στο 21-12.
