Τίτλο στη Σερβία η Παύλου!

Παρότι ξεκίνησε από τα προκριματικά, η εκπληκτική Δήμητρα Παύλου ολοκλήρωσε με τον ιδανικότερο τρόπο το τουρνουά ITF των 25.000 δολαρίων στη Σερβία, όπου κατέκτησε τον τίτλο.

Μετά από μία εντυπωσιακή πορεία που πραγματοποίησε μέσα στην τελευταία εβδομάδα, η 19χρονη (νο 670 στον κόσμο) επικράτησε στο σημερινό (11/06) τελικό με 2-1 σετ (6-3, 2-6, 6-4) της 30χρονης Ρουμάνας, Κριστίνα Ντίνου, μετά από 2 ώρες και 19 λεπτά και έφτασε στον 1ο τίτλο στην καριέρα της σε ITF Pro Tour τουρνουά.

Αν κι έχασε το πρώτο σετ της στη διοργάνωση (πριν τον τελικό μετρούσε 6 σερί νίκες και 12-0 σετ), η νεαρή Ελληνίδα τενίστρια κατάφερε ν' αντεπεξέλθει απέναντι σε μία σαφώς πιο έμπειρη αθλήτρια (είχε φτάσει μέχρι το 179 του κόσμου) και να φτάσει στη μεγάλη νίκη.
