Ρολάν Γκαρός: «Τρένο» στις «32» η Σφιάτεκ

Η Ίγκα Σφιάτεκ δείχνει αποφασισμένη να υπερασπιστεί το «στέμμα» της στο Ρολάν Γκαρός. Σήμερα (1/06) με μία ακόμη επίδειξη δύναμης επικράτησε πολύ εύκολα με 2-0 (6-4, 6-0) της Αμερικανίδας, Κλερ Λιου, σε μιάμιση ώρα αγώνα και προκρίθηκε άνετα στον 3ο γύρο του 2ου Major της σεζόν.

Όπως ακριβώς και στο ματς της πρεμιέρας με την Κριστίνα Μπούκσα, έτσι και απέναντι στην Λιου, η Πολωνή κορυφαία τενίστρια του κόσμου πήρε το πρώτο σετ με 6-4 και το δεύτερο με ένα ακόμη bagel (χωρίς να παραχωρήσει game).

Η σημερινή ήταν η 23η νίκη της 20χρονης στο Ρολάν Γκαρός, έχοντας υποστεί μόνο δύο ήττες. Παραμένει, όμως, αήττητη στο Παρίσι από τότε που ανέβηκε στο νο1 του κόσμου, μετρώντας 9 στα 9. 

Η Σφιάτεκ ολοκλήρωσε τον αγώνα με 24 winners και 23 αβίαστα λάθη, την ίδια ώρα που η Λιου είχε αντίστοιχα 12 και 20, "έσβησε" τα 8/10 break point της Αμερικανίδας, ενώ από την άλλη κατάφερε να εκμεταλλευτεί τις 6 από τις συνολικά 8 ευκαιρίες για break.

Στον 3ο γύρο η Πολωνή θ΄ αντιμετωπίσει την Κινέζα, Ξιν Γουάνγκ, η οποία με τη σειρά της απέκλεισε την Ρεμπέκα Πέτερσον από τη Σουηδία με 7-6(5), 6-2.
