Πρόκριση στα προημιτελικά για Ντούσκο, Γκαϊδατζή/Παπακωνσταντίνου Παλαιοπάνο/Καλανδαρίδη

Με τρία στα τρία ξεκίνησε η παρουσία της ελληνικής αποστολής στο Παγκόσμιο Πρωτάθλημα κωπηλασίας στο Βελιγράδι, κατά την πρώτη ημέρα. Ο «χρυσός» Ολυμπιονίκης στο Τόκιο, Στέφανος Ντούσκος, τερμάτισε στην 1η θέση της προκριματικής σειράς του στο σκιφ με χρόνο 6:45.46 και εξασφάλισε την απευθείας πρόκριση στα προημιτελικά με στόχο τον τελικό, αλλά και την πρόκριση στους Ολυμπιακούς αγώνες του 2024, στο Παρίσι. 

Απευθείας την πρόκριση για τα προημιτελικά του Παγκοσμίου Πρωταθλήματος πήρε και το διπλο σκιφ ελαφρών βαρών. Οι Πέτρος Γκαϊδατζής και Αντώνης Παπακωνσταντίνου τερμάτισαν τέταρτοι στην προκριματική σειρά τους με χρόνο 6:21.47 και πήραν το τελευταίο εισιτήριο για την επόμενη φάση χωρίς να χρειαστεί να αγωνιστούν στον επαναληπτικό.

Τέλος, οι Θανάσης Παλαιοπάνος και Γιάννης Καλανδαρίδης έκαναν την κούρσα που έπρεπε στα προκριματικά του διπλού σκιφ στο Παγκόσμιο Πρωτάθλημα του Βελιγραδίου, πήραν την 4η θέση στη σειρά τους με 6:16.62 και έγιναν το τρίτο ελληνικό πλήρωμα που προκρίθηκε απευθείας στα προημιτελικά της κορυφαίας διοργάνωσης της χρονιάς.
