Ξεκίνημα με 4.65μ για την Στεφανίδη στο Όστιν

Την πρώτη αγωνιστική της εμφάνιση μετά τους Ολυμπιακούς του Τόκιο έκανε η Κατερίνα Στεφανίδη, που συμμετείχε στον αγώνα Texas Relays, που έγινε στο Όστιν.

Η Ελληνίδα πρωταθλήτρια του επί κοντώ κατέλαβε την τρίτη θέση με 4,65μ., πραγματοποιώντας ένα καλό ντεμπούτο, σε έναν αγώνα προπονητικού χαρακτήρα για την ίδια.

Η Ολυμπιονίκης του 2016 ξεκίνησε τις προσπάθειές της από τα 4,45μ., τα οποία πέρασε με την πρώτη, ακολούθως υπέρεβη τα 4,55μ. με τη δεύτερη και τα 4,65μ. με την πρώτη, ενώ είχε τρία αποτυχημένα άλματα στα 4,70μ.

Νικήτρια του αγώνα ήταν η Μπρίτζιτ Ουίλιαμς με 4,70μ. και ακολούθησε με την ίδια επίδοση η Έμιλι Γκρόουβ.
