Η Ferrari επικράτησε στον αγώνα 24 ωρών του Λε Μαν

Η Ferrari πανηγύρισε σήμερα (11/6) την πρώτη νίκη της στον αγώνα 24 ωρών του Λε Μαν σε διάστημα 58 ετών. Ο Ιταλός Αλεσάντρο Πιέρ Γκουίντι, ο Βρετανός Τζέιμς Καλάντο και ο Ιταλός Αντόνιο Τζιοβινάτσι ανέβηκαν στο ψηλότερο σκαλί του βάθρου στην κατηγορία Hypercar, στην 100ή «έκδοση» του φημισμένου αγώνα αντοχής, και άφησαν πίσω τους την Toyota, η οποία διεκδικούσε τον έκτο διαδοχικό θρίαμβό της στον αγώνα.

Στην επιστροφή της ιταλικής κατασκευάστριας εταιρείας στον αγώνα με το νέο 499P Le Mans Hypercar, το πλήρωμα του αυτοκινήτου με το νούμερο 51 χάρισε στη Ferrari την πρώτη νίκη της στο Λε Μαν μετά το 1965, όταν είχαν επικρατήσει ο Αμερικανός Μάστεν Γκρέγκορι και ο Αυστριακός οδηγός της Φόρμουλα Ένα (σ.σ. και παγκόσμιος πρωταθλητής του 1970) Γιόχεν Ριντ. Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι η εφετινή συμμετοχή ήταν η πρώτη για τη Ferrari στον αγώνα 24 ωρών του Λε Μαν εδώ και 50 χρόνια.

Ο Πιέρ Γκουίντι είδε πρώτος την καρό σημαία, τερματίζοντας ένα λεπτό και 21 δευτερόλεπτα μπροστά από το αυτοκίνητο της Toyota GR010 HYBRID με το νούμερο 8, το οποίο οδήγησαν ο Ελβετός Σεμπαστιάν Μπουεμί, ο Νεοζηλανδός Μπρέντον Χάρτλεϊ και ο Ιάπωνας Ρίο Χιρακάουα. Την τελευταία θέση του βάθρου πήρε η Cadillac V-Series.R με το νούμερο 2, την οποία οδηγούσαν ο Βρετανός Άλεξ Λιν, ο Νεοζηλανδός Ερλ Μπάμπερ και ο Βρετανός και οι οποίοι ολοκλήρωσαν την προσπάθειά τους ένα γύρο πίσω από τους νικητές.
