Η εθνική ομάδα για το Παγκόσμιο Πρωτάθλημα κλειστού στο Βελιγράδι

Πέντε αθλητές και αθλήτριες θα εκπροσωπήσουν την Ελλάδα στο Παγκόσμιο Πρωτάθλημα κλειστού στίβου, που θα διεξαχθεί το διάστημα 18-20 Μαρτίου στο Βελιγράδι.

 

Η αποστολή μπορεί να είναι αριθμητικά μικρή, ωστόσο είναι ιδιαίτερα δυνατή και ικανή να επιστρέψει με διακρίσεις.

 

Ο "χρυσός" Ολυμπιονίκης του μήκους Μίλτος Τεντόγλου αποτελεί αναμφίβολα το μεγαλύτερο όνομα της ελληνικής ομάδας και ένα από τα κορυφαία της διοργάνωσης. Ο αθλητής θα συμμετάσχει στους αγώνες με στόχο την κατάκτηση του χρυσού μεταλλίου.

 

Με υψηλές προσδοκίες θα συμμετάσχει στη διοργάνωση και ο Εμμανουήλ Καραλής, που στο προηγούμενο παγκόσμιο κλειστού ήταν πέμπτος. Ο αθλητής διανύει εξαιρετική σεζόν και είναι σε θέση να πετύχει μεγάλα άλματα. Με οδηγό την εμπειρία της πέμπτης συμμετοχής θα πάρει μέρος στους αγώνες ο Κώστας Δουβαλίδης στα ψηλά εμπόδια, που σταθερά κυνηγά καλές επιδόσεις στις μεγάλες διοργανώσεις. Η Ραφαέλα Σπανουδάκη στα 60 μ. και η Ειρήνη Βασιλείου είναι οι δύο γυναίκες τις εθνικής μας ομάδας. Η Σπανουδάκη έχει κάνει καλή σεζόν στα 60 μ. κι έτσι θέλει μία ανάλογη παρουσία στη διοργάνωση. Η Βασιλείου θα πάρει μέρος στα 400 μ., προερχόμενη ωστόσο από έναν τραυματισμό που δεν της επέτρεψε να κάνει νωρίτερα αγώνα στα 400 μέτρα.
