Εκτη στο Παγκόσμιο η Πρεβολαράκη

Η Μαρία Πρεβολαράκη δεν κατάφερε να προκριθεί στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες. Παρά τη σπουδαία πορεία που είχε στο Παγκόσμιο πρωτάθλημα Πάλης στην κατηγορία των 53κ. και το γεγονός ότι είχε δύο φορές την ευκαιρία να ανέβει στο βάθρο και τρεις για να πάρει την πρόκριση στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες, δεν τα κατάφερε.

 

Η κορυφαία Ελληνίδα πρωταθλήτρια έδωσε σκληρό αγώνα, προσπάθησε με όλες της τις δυνάμεις, αλλά τελικά έχασε τόσο στον αγώνα για το μετάλλιο, όσο και για την πέμπτη θέση.

 

Αρχικά η Μαρία Πρεβολαράκη αντιμετώπισε την Γέπεζ Γκουζμα (Εκουαδόρ) και ηττήθηκε με 10-3, με αποτέλεσμα να μην καταφέρει να ανέβει στο βάθρο. Στη δεύτερη ευκαιρία που είχε πάλεψε με την Σουηδέζα Μαλμγκρεν και ηττήθηκε με πτώση.

 

Η πρόκριση μπορεί να μην ήρθε τώρα για την Μαρία Πρεβολαράκη, αλλά με τις εμφανίσεις της έδειξε ότι έχει όλα τα φόντα να προκριθεί στο Παρίσι για 4η φορά στην καριέρα της.
