«Πλήρωσε» τα λάθη του απέναντι στον Ουμπέρ ο Τσιτσιπάς

Για τρίτη φορά στις τέσσερις συνολικά μεταξύ τους αναμετρήσεις στο κορτ, ο Στέφανος Τσιτσιπάς έφυγε με κατεβασμένο κεφάλι απέναντι στον Ουγκό Αμπέρ.

Ο Γάλλος ήταν ο νικητής με 2-1 σετ (6-4, 3-6, 7-5) στο πλαίσιο του 3ου γύρου του τουρνουά της Σανγκάης, κάνοντας το 3Χ3 επί του Έλληνα πρωταθλητή σε τουρνουά Masters 1000, μετά τις επιτυχίες του σε προηγούμενες διοργανώσεις σε Παρίσι και Τορόντο.

Ο Τσιτσιπάς «πλήρωσε» για πολλοστή φορά τον εκνευρισμό του και την αστάθεια που έδειξε στο παιχνίδι του, παρότι στο τρίτο σετ έδειξε χαρακτήρα όταν βρέθηκε πίσω στα games με 3-0 και 4-1. 

Ενώ όλα έμοιαζαν να είναι... μαύρα για τον 28χρονο στο decider σετ, κατάφερε να κάνει κρίσιμο μπρέικ στο 7ο game και να μειώσει σε 4-3 και λίγο αργότερα να ισοφαρίσει σε 4-4. 

Από κει και πέρα ο Ουμπέρ κράτησε το σερβίς του, προηγήθηκε με 6-5 κι ενώ όλα έδειχναν ότι οι δύο τενίστες θα «έλυναν τις διαφορές τους» στο τάι μπρέικ, στο 12ο game, ο Γάλλος έκανε νέο μπρέικ και με 7-5 πανηγύρισε τη μεγάλη νίκη και την πρόκριση στους «16».
